The Zimbabwe Republic Police has raised a concern regarding the escalation of murder cases which are 16 and were recorded from 13 to 19 August 2020.

In the statement, the police are discouraged by people as they are not valuing the lives of other citizens.

During this period of the national lockdown, the police are encouraging people to stay at home and avoid gatherings because some murder cases are happening during illegal drinking beer sprees.

Meanwhile, A 59-year-old female adult died on Tuesday after eating supper with her family in Lusulu, Binga. The woman’s stomach was swollen at the time she was taken to hospital and it is suspected that she was poisoned. The Police are investigating the matter.
