MUKWASHA IMBOKO: Jilted Man Storms Tezvara’s Home, Takes Back His Lobola

There was drama when a jilted Mwenezi man stormed at his inlaw’s residence and confiscated two beasts he paid as lobola after hearing the news that his estranged wife had moved on.

Masvingo Mirror reports that Kabalika Mukupe was deeply disappointed after efforts to reconcile with his wife and children met a brick wall after discovering that they had moved on from his inlaws house and no one knew where she was.

Mukupe is reported to have separated with his wife in 2018 only to visit his inlaws in 2019, to claim his wife and children.

The matter came to light after Killion Dube, the father in law reported the case to the police.

Magistrate Honesty Musiiwa presided over the case.

The court heard that Mukupe separated with his wife in August 2018 and never bothered to follow her to resolve their marital disputes until she went to an unknown place in December that same year.

When Mukupe finally visited his inlaws to claim his wife and children, he was told that she was not there.

He demanded that his inlaws give him back his cattle but Dube told him to come with a mediator to resolve the issue.

It is alleged that the accused opened the kraal and drove away with the cattle without anyone’s consent.

Dube tried to stop him to no avail.

The matter will be heard again next week.
